OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for the overall financial support of the Global Consumer Products (CP)business across Viacom, CBS, and Paramount Studios. This includes supporting the ongoing enhancement of financial forecasting, planning, budgeting, and long-range planning (LRP) processes. The Finance Senior Analyst will participate in the consolidated reporting and analysis of global activities for the Consumer Products team.
The Finance Senior Analyst will work closely with the CP Senior Finance Manager and Senior Director. They will be responsible for assisting with and enhancing the consolidation process of the global finance function. This role will support analysis for the sales and franchise team leaders and will additionally work closely with the CP Finance teams within the group. They will be a central point of contact for collectively reviewing and aggregating our budgets and LRP.
Seeking a detailed-oriented financial analyst with strong communication skills, a sense of urgency, and a collaborative hands-on approach to the support of CP Finance. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-demand environment with tight deadlines and often manage multiple deliverables at the same time. Developing open communication and productive relationships with sales and finance will be key to success.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Perform and prepare annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasts in conjunction with Sales and external partners
- Prepare and maintain global consolidation views of quarterly forecasts and annual LRP
- Manage various consolidated revenue summary files for the Sales and Franchise teams
Monthly Closing Process
- Ensure monthly revenue is complete and accurate and is recognized in alignment with accounting guidelines
- Liaise with Accounting and Operations to ensure contracts are being processed and recognized correctly
- Collect and prepare variance analysis and commentary, as needed
Ad hoc analysis & project work
- Assist with the preparation of leadership presentations for forecasts and budgets, as needed
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related major
- 4 years finance or accounting experience (basic accounting, accounting close and forecast)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, formulas) and PowerPoint
- Experience in enterprise financial applications (SAP, Longview, and Hyperion)
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Budget management experience
- Multinational company experience
- Consumer products or other licensing business experience
- Analytical, inquisitive, and strong attention to detailed and follow-up
- Good at managing internal partners and deadlines
- Strong project management skills necessary
- Ability to work well in a quick moving environment, working through multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 90,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
