DIVISION OVERVIEW:

The Mobile Apple QA team is responsible for supporting the delivery and architecture of Paramount+ application on devices such as iPhone, iPad and Apple T.V., The Mobile Quality Assurance role is a very meaningful aspect of the team's success on the Apple team.

ROLE DETAILS:
- Maintain a high quality standard product by crafting comprehensive test suites for all Apple platforms and providing accurate test estimates for our development team.
- Successfully communicate test results to our engineers and product managers through effective communication pipelines.
- Critically think about the level and complexity of testing required in each stage of the SDLC process.
- Provide feedback on product design to give users the best possible customer experience.
- Develop efficient ways to complete full regressions across several builds.
- Communicate testing standard processes to the various QA collaborators.
- Independently create comprehensive and efficient test strategies crafted to help the team
- Handle the content feature validation from development to release
- Lead testing and test requests from our 3rd party testing contractors

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:
- Lead, create, edit and implement our various test suites across Apple platforms, TV and Mobile devices.
- Be responsible for the testing of assigned scrum team to ensure quality standards and requirements are met.
- Validate and verify all tasks, stories and defects throughout our development cycles.
- Prioritize incoming issues and document steps to reproduce, and observed common system behavior.
- Actively participate in daily standups sprint planning and sprint ceremonies with a focus on optimizing testing cycles/resources with product and development teams to deliver shippable features.
- Coordinate with the rest of the QA team to analyze and improve the QA process.
- Review requirements, specifications, and design documents to provide timely feedback.

Organize and triage defects logged by our external test team.
- Participate in all phases of SDLC process including analyzing requirements, developing test plans, test cases, and execution of test scripts.
- Partner with support teams to triage and reproduce issues.
- Develop and communicate weekly test reports to our Company Leads, Managers and partners.
- Provide daily status reports to QA leadership and other teams
- Mentor and assist the Apple team's daily tasks including reviewing and assigning bugs from our QA contractors and testers.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Or any related degree, Or Certification
- 4+ years in reviewing product requirements, crafting test plans and testing Software applications for Mobile and/or OTT.
- 3+ years in testing various IOS devices.

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Proficient in Jira or any other bug tracking tools
- Experience in test case creation and management programs like TestRail
- Knowledge of device debugging tools such as Charles Proxy
- Experience with Agile methodology and Scrum teams
- Experience in analyzing various types and causes of defects (API vs Client).
- Able to work independently and have excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience as a QA liaison to various scrum teams.

GOOD TO HAVE
- Background in functional testing and identify test cases that are efficient candidates for automation.
- Working knowledge of Xcode and other test automation tools.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 - 78,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
