Job Description
Noggin is a leading learning service for families with preschoolers. We deliver streaming and interactive learning content that helps young kids develop skills, knowledge and passions through play with the characters they love. We also help parents help their kids thrive. A direct-to-consumer offering available on 10+ platforms, Noggin reaches families in the domestic market through standalone mobile apps, connected TV apps, and add-on channels. We are forming a team of highly motivated individuals who are eager to work in a start-up-like environment within a large media company. We need innovators and self-starters who are passionate about playful learning and comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative-led organization.
Overview:

The Senior Learning Designer works with internal and external stakeholders to develop compelling and evidence-informed learning content for young children. This member of the Noggin content team plays a key role in (1) designing coherent, evidence-based learning content that propels Noggin's skills and knowledge learning goals, (2) implementing Noggin's playtesting insights with an instructional and design focus, and (3) helping Noggin provide content to a large, growing and diverse global audience!

Responsibilities:
• Work with Noggin's content and learning team to translate learning briefs into effective, digital learning designs that inform content development at every stage, from concepting and scripting to the end-user experience
• Ensure content meets learning goals through interactive design elements and key user experiences such as feedback prompts and scripting. Understands the importance of independent and ''co-play'' design elements
• Ensure content can be leveled to meet the needs of children as their understanding of skills and concepts grows
• Partner with Noggin's Learning Lead and disciplinary advisors to ensure content's fidelity to our learning approach and impact.
• Work with peers across content studios to share, document, and implement best practices.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure learning designs advance diversity, equity, and inclusion goals across content and audience development.
• Provide guidance on supplementary content development and resources (i.e., parent-child activities, educator use)

Basic Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional experience in education, product/content development, and interactive learning design. Experience in research on digital media use, application, and outcomes
• Substantive knowledge and demonstrated track record in creating effective curriculum and standards-based media design and/or technology products with a focus on math and/or literacy skills
• Substantive expertise in early childhood development, teaching, research, and evidence-based learning practices
• Ability to translate learning expertise to digital content development clearly and effectively
• Experience driving collaboration among creative design teams and multi-disciplinary colleagues
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Experience in both start-up and large impact-oriented companies/organizations preferred
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree in education, child development and/or interactive design preferred
