Job Description
Overview /Objective:
The Senior Director, Treasurer will be a key leader within the NFL's Finance organization. They will lead the treasury function including cash management, forecasting, banking administration, risk and insurance, and other treasury related operations. The position will be reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily cash positioning activities including managing daily liquidity and cash position optimization
• Oversee and evaluate current insurance programs, ensure adequate coverage and compliance
• Work closely on the evaluation and enhancement of the League's risk management framework
• Develop a structure to work with business partners, shared services, FP&A and Club Finance to optimize working capital
• Develop cash flow forecasts that will be used to optimize liquidity, strategic business decisions, and investments
• Create and maintain an efficient system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over treasury activities
• Invest excess cash within cash investment guidelines to optimize interest income
• Design, analyze, monitor, and hedge exposures to foreign exchange and interest rate risk
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree, preferably with a finance related major
• Appropriate certification, such as CTP is required
• Minimum 12 years experience with extensive knowledge in a treasury function
• 7+ years of management experience and proven success as a leader
• Experience leading a treasury function, including cash management, insurance and treasury forecasting
• Multinational experience dealing with foreign currency
• Proven success in building a function and creation of new processes and policies
Terms /Expected Hours of Work:
NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
