Job Description
NFL Media is seeking an experienced Media Manager to support workflows within NFL Media's acquisition & media management pipelines. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Media Services, the Manager, Media Services will be responsible for implementing, managing and operating procedures for acquisition, distribution, and archive of NFL Media assets and content.
This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for media technology, an organizational mindset, and a strong desire to help evolve what is possible in media administration and production. The role will collaborate with other departments including broadcast engineering, postproduction, transmission operations and archive teams. Responsibilities
• Work with the Sr. Manager, Media Services to implement strategies related to all media workflows and asset management
• Partner closely with post-production and other media technology teams to manage requirements and expectations for workflows and asset management
• Communicate best practices to production teams to ensure efficient operation of all workflows
• Stay informed on best practices, emerging media trends, and new technologies to incorporate innovative approaches into strategies
• Define and create file retention policies based on projects and workflows and ensure those policies are adhered to
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of workflow issues in a timely manner
• Partner with the scheduling department to optimize departmental schedules while staying within budget
• Lead the creation and dissemination of SOPs for the Media Services department
• Hold information sessions with the Senior Manager, Media Services to demonstrate new processes, workflow adjustments, and key changes to end users
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of media administration experience
• Extensive knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices. Formats used at NFL Media include industry standards such as MXF, MOV, H.264, PNG, JPG, WAV, etc.
• 2+ years of industry standard NLE programs (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) with the ability to troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Knowledge of live production, postproduction, and basic engineering workflows
• Ability to spearhead projects with limited oversight with internal and external stakeholders
• Working experience within AWS and Azure in developing and maintaining API's, chatbots, and GPT workflows
• 2 + years experience with the media asset management and media ingestion programs (e.g. CatDV, Vidispine, Reach Engine, EVS IPD VIA)
• Experience working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• 2 + years experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file movement, etc.)
• Experience with complex metadata schemas, organizing large number of media assets, and file naming conventions
• Demonstrated ability to balance rapidly shifting priorities and deadlines
• Experience educating non-technical stakeholders and working across multiple departments
• Ability to problem-solve and multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Extremely detail-oriented and a team player
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or certifications preferred – Media Studies, Digital Media & Technology or related field.
• Experience working at a major media network
• Experience with coding (Python, Java Script, SQL)
• AWS Certifications: Cloud Practitioner and/or AI Practitioner
• Adobe Certification: Adobe Certified Professional - Digital Video (Premiere Pro)

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
• Full-time NFL employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• This role will be required to work holidays, nights and/or weekends during critical business timeframes.
Salary / Pay Range

The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

$90,000
- $120,000 USD
