Job Description
The Hill, a division of Nexstar Media Group, is seeking an experienced Sr. Events Manager responsible for project management and logistics for its growing events portfolio.

This position will work within a dynamic, dedicated team of events and marketing professionals to execute a variety
of in-person and virtual event types including large audience live programs , interactive forums and one -on-one interviews.

This position is based in our Washington DC office and is NOT open for remote work.

Responsibilities:
• Serve as primary project manager for live events .
• Develop a project management system that ensures all benchmarks and deliverables are being met .
• Arrange event logistics including identifying potential venues, arranging appropriate food & beverage , procuring event decor, confirming A/V and livestreaming needs.
• Coordinate communication between various departments of The Hill to ensure flawless event execution.
• Work with business development manager and content producers to communicate with sponsors and participants on event logistics .
• Mange event budget and n egotiate and route vendor contracts.
• Build event registration pages.
• Assist with audience development and outreach where appropriate .
• Assist with drafting promotional materials including creating compelling audience communications.
• Prepare
on – site event materials and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned and developed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Keynote/ Powerpoint , Excel, G-Suite
• Familiarity with Zoom, Webex
or similar web conferencing platforms
• Strong understanding of Washington, DC political/advocacy landscape and relationship management

Ideal candidates should have 3-4 years' experience with event management, public relations, advocacy, communications and/or marketing.

Compensation ranges from $70,000-$90,000 + commensurate with experience and skill level.
