The Product Manager for OTT/CTV apps will be a key member of the product management team, responsible for overseeing a growing roster of applications on top streaming platforms across the Nexstar Media Group. This position requires a passion for connected TV and streaming services, local news, driving video product development, and an appetite to help lead our teams' knowledge and understanding of the connected TV landscape.

Reporting to the VP of Video Product, the Product Manager will work closely with product, development, and content team leaders. You'll be the day-to-day, hands-on product owner who has a holistic view of the apps' functionality, know what is working, and what needs improvement inside and out. You'll define and implement best-in class user and advertiser experiences across OTT and CTV platforms, for many of Nexstar Media's CTV properties.

As a member of the Product Team, the Product Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders including leaders at Nexstar Media's local and national news outlets. You'll also work with external partners such as top OTT streaming platforms including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and more. You'll work with our video platform service providers, and other non-Nexstar customers which distribute our content or use our platforms and services. You'll serve as the voice of the customer, making data-driven decisions to turn feature requests into reality. You'll also serve as a liaison to content producers and leaders across Nexstar.

Experience Required

5+ years of experience with streaming video product management, operations, and monetization, preferably for a media company. You come with experience driving product development from concept to launch and beyond, in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders to collaborate on and manage a number of product requirements on various projects within a large, geographically diverse company.

Specific Responsibilities
• Be the product owner to develop and improve the viewing experience across all supported OTT and CTV streaming platforms. You have experience launching features and apps for top platforms including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and more.
• Maintain day-to-day oversight of Nexstar's streaming app operations. Help drive the station group's adoption, use, and successful publication of content across our streaming services.
• Help define the product roadmap and feature backlog to ensure support for content management systems and video distribution workflows, and help us improve Nexstar's video publishing and distribution to connected TV platforms.
• Understand app, video, and advertising performance through analytics and analysis (engagement, monetization) and, working with your analytics partners, provide insights to stakeholders on performance optimizations.
• Gather, intake, assess feature requests and prioritize bug reports from all areas of the streaming business. Serve as the OTT/CTV subject matter expert for our internal support team and be the first to help triage issues and answer questions as they come up.
• Author clear, actionable product requirements in an Agile software development environment. Work effectively with engineering and other teams to ensure deliverables are met.
• Contribute to and communicate the Product group's streaming priorities and roadmap to stakeholders.
• Comfort and using a variety of reporting and project management tools to communicate and document across the video product portfolio including Zendesk, Jira, Confluence, Asana, and others.
• Manage end-to-end product rollouts including:
• Coordinate and manage detailed launch and app update plans,
• Conducting user acceptance testing including A/B or multivariate testing
• Create detailed product artifacts such as release notes and training documentation
• Coordinate and conduct digital producer/end-user workflow and CMS training
• Intake, triage, and follow-through on stakeholder bug/feature reports via systems like Zendesk
• Gather and document feature requests. Be the voice of our internal and external users to help drive the roadmap and iterative feature development.

Qualifications
• Have 5+ years of experience as a product manager with proven digital video and/or CTV/OTT experience (platforms, players, monetization, formats, etc.) including:
• Knowledge of, and experience with, various OVPs, players, and video content solutions (Akta, Akamai, Brightcove, JW Player, Video.js, etc.)
• Knowledge of and experience with CTV/OTT platforms and the FAST landscape. Experience developing OTT apps and/or FAST channels is a must.
• Knowledge of and experience working with video ad serving platforms such as Google Ad Manager, FreeWheel, etc. including strategies and techniques to optimize ad revenue.
• Video analytics and performance technologies using technology suites like GA/GA360, Adobe, Comscore, Conviva, etc.
• Proven experience with live streaming, social and viral video, Facebook Live, YouTube, etc.
• A plus: Experience with broadcast television technologies and broadcast automation systems. (BitCentral, ENPS, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision making.
• Proven experience working directly with design and engineering teams to build and ship video, web, mobile, and OTT products.
• Bachelor's degree required.

Salary range is $90k-$110K. Other benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, vacation time, sick time, 401K match and Paid Parental Leave.
