If you live and breathe 10's, :15's, :20's and :30's… know how to tear up a Premiere timeline… know your way around a camera (we are currently a Sony shop) and realize that typical news promotion is simply wallpaper for most viewers, we want to hear from you.

KXAN, the #1 news station in Austin, Texas has an immediate opening in their highly creative and award-winning Marketing Department for a top-tier video producer.

In this position you'll be a one-stop shop for all things creative. Write, shoot and edit station image and special report promotions. Must be able to work tight and sometimes crazy deadlines (we've all been there) with minimal direction... and be ready to push creative beyond the typical. A true passion for cinematography and video production is essential.
• Work closely with Marketing Director and Promotion Manager to conceive, write, produce, and edit compelling on-air promos and image campaigns either independently or as a team
• Work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment and ensure that assigned projects are delivered on time
• Push the creative envelope to new heights while adhering to brand guidelines
• Produce client sponsored promotional content, as assigned
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

• Day shift with an occasional flexible schedule when required.
• Applicants with a news background and Marketing/Promotions experience will fly to the head of our line.

Requirements & Skills:
• Creative camerawork and Adobe Creative Suite. (Non-negotiable. You need to start with these skills in your pocket – this is not an entry level position.)
• Preferred skills: Intermediate After Effects and Photoshop
