WJW-TV the top rated Fox affiliate in Cleveland, OH is seeking a News Operations Manager. The successful candidate is a highly organized, self-motivated person who excels under pressure.

WJW produces nearly 90 hours of live news and programming each week. This is a key newsroom position interfacing with the Engineering, Promotions and Sales Departments.

Responsibilities:
• Oversight of News Dept. systems including ENPS, BitCentral, Latakoo, DeJero-TVU.
• Supervise Media Managers, edit staff to ensure proper workflow for video needed for News
• Programs throughout the day. Knowledge of Adobe Premiere and archive systems.
• Implement coverage with use of ENG live trucks, bonded cellular, drones, satellite, fiber.
• Point person for technical logistics-planning for live remotes, elections, special events.
• Manage SkyFox helicopter program including hours, liaison with pilots and training staff.
• Manage fleet of news vehicles and ENG trucks for maintenance, insurance, registrations.
• Staff scheduling for News and Engineering. On call for emergencies.
• Uphold quality on-air standards and ability to offer constructive feedback to staff.
• Collaborate with News-Engineering on equipment needs, recommendations for budget.
• Solving problems before they become a crisis. Ability to delegate tasks and meet deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Excellent news judgement, a strong ability to mobilize and execute technical resources to cover breaking news. Strong attention to detail is necessary in all areas.
• Experience in a union environment, familiar with collective bargaining agreements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people, handle stressful situations.
• Understanding of IT basics, a plus including web streams, switches, circuits, and routers.
• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field with minimum 5 years' experience showing leadership skills in a television news environment.
