Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role within two prominent national networks and the fastest-growing news network in the United States. The primary responsibility will be to manage and support affiliates and MVPDs for Antenna TV and Rewind TV Networks, based in Chicago.

The Multi-Cast Network Broadcast Operations Manager is responsible for operations and supervision of national network feeds and working with affiliates that may be experiencing technical difficulties. Must also possess a working knowledge of ancillary on air equipment such as automation systems, satellite uplinks, IRDs, CGs, Emergency Alerts, caption encoders, routers, switchers, various networked workstations.

Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & Supervision: Support Chicago operations staff and Director of Broadcast Operations on a daily basis.
• Affiliate & Technical Support: Maintain IRD records, encryption database and build relationships with multicast affiliates. Provide troubleshooting and technical assistance as needed.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills in resolving technical issues quickly and clearly communicate solutions to the relevant parties.
• Proactive Problem-Solving: Utilize excellent judgment to anticipate potential issues, addressing them promptly by engaging necessary support resources.
• Operational Support: Collaborate closely with the Director of Broadcast Operations on key projects and initiatives, identifying and addressing operational needs across network operations.
• Process Development: Establish best practices, workflows, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for efficient department operations and service delivery.
• Quality Control: Maintain stringent quality control standards while operating and monitoring systems used for content distribution, ensuring full compliance with company guidelines and FCC regulations.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Develop and maintain strong communication channels with key internal teams, including Traffic, Programming, Marketing, Engineering, and IT, to ensure smooth operational processes.

Qualifications
• Five years experience of broadcast operations management role required.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of satellite delivery in a network-to-affiliate distribution model, understanding IRD configuration and encryption methods.
• Experience with Florical or other broadcast automation systems.
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Broadcast engineering background is a plus.
• Working knowledge of common business software applications, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• This position requires flexibility in schedule and could include weekends and holidays as well as some limited travel.
• Must be self-sufficient and have a press-on-regardless attitude.
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
