Job Description
The Hill is seeking a client-facing Events Manager responsible for project management and logistics for its growing events portfolio.
This position will report to the Vice President of Events and collaborate with a dynamic, dedicated team of events, sales and marketing professionals to execute a variety of in-person thought leadership events.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as primary point of contact and project manager for a portfolio of live events.
• Develop and manage event operations, timelines and deliverables, communicating internally and externally with white glove service.
• Take ownership of all facets of bringing a program to life from drafting the contract deliverables for approval to establishing processes that create a smooth client journey.
• Responsible for all event logistics, from RFPs to contracting venues to vendors, catering, A/V, running pre-production calls and communicating needs between content team and vendors.
• Coordinate communication between various departments of The Hill to ensure flawless event execution.
• Manage event budget and negotiate and route vendor contracts.
• Traffic creative with internal, client and venue for on–site event materials and supplies, such as signage, backdrops and sponsor materials.
• Manage on-site set up and production on day of event, from sponsor needs to vendor logistics.
• Assist content team on day of program with any production or speaker/sponsor needs.

• Strong understanding of Washington, DC, political/advocacy landscape and relationship management.
Ideal candidates should have 2-4 years' experience with event management, public relations, advocacy, communications and/or marketing
