Title: Creative Director – Platform Marketing

Reports to: EVP, Platform Marketing & Sales Intelligence

Pay Range: $150 - $175K commensurate with experience.

Location: NY (685 Third Avenue)

Position Summary:

Will develop and lead Nexstar Advertising's in-house creative services unit responsible for developing concepts and opportunities for brands to engage with our audiences across the Nexstar portfolio including CW, NewsNation, The Hill, Nexstar Local and all digital assets. Specific emphasis will be on news and local assets. This creative unit will be dedicated to developing bespoke opportunities for advertisers to tell brand stories to its audiences. Will generate big ideas for sponsorship opportunities (with or without Nexstar's IP).

Will also develop and design B2B collateral including marketplace image, sales deck creation and content marketing materials (newsletters, social posts, advertising units for campaigns across all media types). Will manage and produce creative materials including digital, video and print that supports the ad sales portfolio.

Will work closely with CW's and NewsNation's branded entertainment teams as well as Nexstar's station and studio resources.

Will provide strategic and creative leadership, execute, ideate, and innovate as well as storytell to effectively differentiate Nexstar in the marketplace.

Responsibilities include:
• Will develop concepts and opportunities for brands to engage with our audiences. Must generate big ideas for sponsorship opportunities (with or without Nexstar's IP).
• Manage coordination with Nexstar's creative partners internally and externally including an in-house studio creating insights into brand stories to engage with our audiences.
• Source, develop and execute branded entertainment creative (and production) opportunities.
• Must create entertaining, engaging content and storytelling that crosses platforms from linear to digital, social and influencer.
• Will build and execute brand partnerships (with a focus on news and sports)
• Create and execute multiplatform integrated marketing programs for key advertisers from ideation through campaign completion.
• Develop proposals and creative briefs, managing partnership execution and communication.
• Work closely with sales, clients, and internal/external creative and production teams to create content that meets brand objectives and campaign deliverables.
• Foster relationships and effectively communicate partnership efforts to various internal and external stakeholders.
• Present custom proposals to clients and agency partners in partnership with sales.
• Will assist in acquiring new advertising/branded entertainment projects that help solve our clients' marketing challenges.

The Essentials:
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must have agency background.
• Current and strong relationships with external production resources
• Current and strong relationships with brands/marketers preferred.
• 15+ years' experience, 5 or more managing creative teams
• Strong understanding of brand communication.
• Physical production knowledge and experience
• Strong process management skills
• Client-facing experience
• Understanding of partnership marketing
• Experience working with live sports and news programming.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong presentation development and presentation skills
• Systematic and conceptual designer
• A strong and decisive decision maker, offering a POV
• Responsible for translating our goals into tangible tools that can be used to sell our portfolio.
• Experience in social media and developing publications and other externally facing assets, and leveraging multiple forms of media to define and elevate an organization's profile
• Experience engaging and collaborating with organizational senior leaders and multiple teams with distinct needs, across an organization.
