NewsNation Booking Producer, The Hill (Washington, DC)

NewsNation is looking for a hardworking, creative, and proactive booking producer to work across DC-based political programs The Hill & The Hill Sunday. As a booking producer, you will work with show producers to arrange guest appearances on the respective programs to discuss political news, news of day, and breaking news. You must have excellent organizational skills, be an effective communicator, be detail-oriented, and work well under deadline pressure. The position is an in-person position, working from NewsNation's Washington, DC studios.

Requirements & Skills:

Pitch stories daily

Identify top tier guests, cultivate relationships, and arrange guest appearances on the show

Conduct pre-interviews and in-depth research on range of topics

Responsible for securing and confirming technical arrangements for remote interviews
Organize and produce elements for show segments

Monitor the latest news and locate people, images, and sound editorial information via Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Dataminr, YouTube, and other platforms

Find reliable guests/witnesses quickly during breaking news situations

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree is preferred

Five or more years of experience in television

Extensive list of contacts, and ability to find and book high-profile guests, as well as people at the center of major news stories

Flexibility with your hours, as breaking news or major events warrant

Strong editorial judgement

Knowledge of and passion for current events and politics

Willingness and ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings

Experience with Lexis Nexis, ENPS would be valuable

Salary Range: $85,000 - $100,000 annualized (based on experience)
