The Job
NetherRealm Studios, a division of WB Games Inc., is looking for an exceptionally skilled Technical Artist to help bring our games to life with rigging and animation systems. The ideal candidate would be well versed in rigging, skinning, and blueprints. This role will have the candidate developing tools, defining best practices, creating character & creature rigs, doing character skinning, and working with other internal teams to implement high quality animations.

The Daily
• Developing tools & defining best practices while working with other teams
• Rigging and skinning characters, creatures, & props
• Tool and pipeline maintenance to support active game production
• Work with Lead Technical Artist to establish and maintain a high quality bar for animation and character movement

The Essentials
• At least one shipped title or work samples showing equivalent experience
• Must have strong Maya technical skills
• Must be able to demonstrate a base knowledge of Blueprint
• Must be able to coordinate and problem solve complex tasks with many moving pieces
• Must have excellent writing, collaboration and communication skills. This role requires working with multiple departments to execute the artistic vision.
• Willingness to accept direction, iterate on work until the quality bar is met, and an eagerness to dive in and solve problems

The Nice to Haves
• Experience with Sequencer
• Strong MotionBuilder technical skills
• Broad Unreal Engine experience
• Python scripting skills
