Software Engineer (L4), Consumer Product Security Engineering

The Role

We are looking for software engineers with client-side system-level programming experience to build cryptographic libraries and services. This is a great opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to securing Netflix applications. Your responsibilities will include a mix of project-based development and operational coverage that ensure our security mechanisms meet the needs of the business. Working with Partner Engineering and Consumer Identity and Access, provide actionable guidance to stakeholders using our libraries and services.

Desired skills and background:
• Hands-on experience with client-side (iOS, Android, Embedded controllers) software development .
• Adept in system-level programming.
• Comfortable working with Java, Javascript, C++, and Typescript.
• Experience with REST/RPC APIs and OpenSSL is a plus
• Working knowledge of cryptography concepts and/or some prior experience in security is preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively within and across teams.

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $100,000 - $720,000.
