The Role

The Content Production & Studio Product team is responsible for driving the strategy, prioritization, and execution of Netflix's technology investments focused on producing content and managing the production of content. As a member of this team your focus will be on workflow operations and data management for Production.

Production workflows and data are a central function for all content creation at Netflix. Our team is responsible for providing both internal and external production staff with the technology they need to plan, execute and deliver the content that brings joy to our members around the world. In this role, you will create and own a strategic roadmap that drives efficiency for our shows and finds the balance between time, cost, resources, and creative vision. You will guide our business stakeholders through technology initiatives taking into account regional nuances that present unique opportunities and challenges for adoption. Additionally, you will look for opportunities to innovate on operational challenges through emerging technologies to bring greater efficiency to our Studio teams.

To thrive in this role you should bring empathy and understanding for our production partners, knowledge and/or direct experience of studio operations, and strong product principles to navigate many stakeholders with competing priorities in a global landscape.

As a product manager at Netflix, you will:
• Build a strategic roadmap and take product concepts from idea through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration.
• Author strategy memos and presentations and represent your team's work to senior executives.
• Lead a team of stunning colleagues across design, engineering, and data science to deliver outstanding products to our customers.
• Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation.
• Deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers, with your design partners.

As Product Manager, Production Data & Workflows, you will:
• Support the technology strategy for the Studio Production team across Netflix, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and central program management
• Contribute to joint objective planning for global OKRs across Studio Operations
• Develop and deliver a roadmap that balances the needs of our internal studio employees, external production partners and our key global business objectives for needs across Scheduling, Resource Management, Production Data Visualization, and External Production Partner Engagement.
• Partner closely with other vertical PMs in the Production, Media, and Content space to ensure our work is complimentary and aligned to business objectives
• Translate problem statements and user needs into a consistent set of requirements and product specifications to ensure successful, collaborative product development
• Communicate project timelines, updates, and roadmaps and maintain accountability on deliverables
• Collaborate with operational teams to roll out products and drive adoption globally
Our wish list for the person in this role (remember, no one ever gets everything on their wish list!):
• Minimum of 7 years professional experience
• Minimum of 4 years product management experience with a proven record of prioritizing and successfully launching products or platforms
• Experience working with Studios or Production Companies
• Experience working on internal products or B2B enterprise products
• Ability to inspire, motivate and lead a cross-functional team - your ability to build strong relationships is critical to success
• Experience using data to inform priorities and evaluate impact of initiatives
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and translate between studio and technology partners
• Ability to manage a portfolio of bigger and smaller bets while balancing short-term goals and long-term vision

Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $120,000 - $515,000.

We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
