| About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technology Manager based in Seoul to lead our dynamic team in APAC. As a key member of a global team, you will be responsible for managing technical operations, for delivering exceptional support to our VFX partners and ensuring success across multiple projects. Your role is to drive strategy, optimize workflows and build a proactive support culture that enables artists and production teams to focus on creativity without technical roadblocks.
| Key Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Netflix leadership to align technology strategies with the studio's long term goals.
• Create and execute a technology operations strategy aimed at boosting development efficiency by utilizing automation and predictive support models to streamline processes.
• Cultivate and lead a high performing team, promoting growth, technical excellence and innovation in VFX, while advancing technical support services to ensure scalability, security, and operational excellence.
• Advocate for user centric and efficient technology experiences across all studio operations with a focus on VFX capabilities.
• Oversee the daily operations of the Technology Systems and Operations Specialists (TSOS) team, ensuring optimal performance workflows by eliminating obstacles, optimizing support workflows and automating troubleshooting processes.
• Implement best practices for technical support and issue resolution using data driven insights to enhance efficiency and resource utilization.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to enhance supportability and address recurring technology challenges in VFX, ensuring seamless integration of Netflix owned and third party development tools.
• Partner with Engineering, Render and product teams to gather feedback and provide insights, driving continuous improvement in VFX and build partnerships with regional stakeholders to enhance productivity and align support strategies with organizational goals.
| Skills and Experience
• Business-level fluency in speaking and writing English and Korean.
• Proven experience in a management role in Tech Support, or a related field, with the ability to lead a team of 6+ individuals.
• Strong foundational understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud, and SaaS applications, with hands-on experience in Google G Suite.
• Proficient in advanced troubleshooting for Mac OS, Chrome OS, Windows OS, Linux, and various applications.
• Proven track record of fostering collaborative relationships with partner teams and managing people across time zones and cultures.
• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a global and diverse environment.
• Experience in making informed and agile decisions at the global, regional, or country level, with a focus on high-velocity execution.
• Flexibility in working hours to meet the needs of the business, with a proactive, can-do attitude.
