The Content Risk Management Team supports our Content Organisation functions globally. This East Asia-based role will be a joint lead for the Production Safety discipline across APAC (ex-India) and reports to the Regional Lead, Content Risk Management APAC. The role will be responsible for the development, implementation and management of safety programs necessary to ensure a healthy, safe and environmentally sound work place, as well as assisting productions in compliance with all applicable governmental health & safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities
• Provides health & safety guidance to Netflix's APAC ex-India productions
• Review and advise on production health and safety plans and guidelines to production partners.
• Upon request, evaluates production/post concepts, scripts, production facilities and workflows for safety and environmental concerns and risks
• Mitigates safety concerns by working directly with Production Executives, Producers, Unit Production Managers, Supervisors and other production staff as required
• Advises Production as required in the planning, budgeting and execution phase of filming services: assessing safety needs, securing appropriate vendors, and travelling to remote locations and/or facilities as required
• Reviews partner Risk Assessments and recommend corrective actions and assist productions in implementation
• Responds to, and investigates production safety emergencies, incidents and accidents
• Coordinates production employee health & safety training
• Develops and maintains effective working relationships with industry safety organisations, representatives, consultants and governmental regulatory agencies as appropriate
• Determines the applicable regulations in locations where a particular production may be shooting
• Works collaboratively with Production Security functions in minimising operational risk

Qualifications
• A minimum 5 years of occupational health & safety related experience. Bachelor's degree in H&S, ES, PS is a plus
• Strong experience in regional market health & safety programs with willingness to learn regulatory framework across APAC region
• Understanding of motion picture and television production process including organisational structure, terminology, equipment, construction methods, stunt and special effects techniques, etc. preferred
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Chartered Member to the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (CMIOSH) certification or regional equivalent a plus
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English and a regional language
• Understanding of security planning and processes a plus

Ability to
• Communicate relevant analysis and forecasting to key stakeholders
• Interact with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to respond to production needs/emergencies at all hours of the day
• Ability to work independently without immediate management supervision
• Travel regionally (approximately 25%-50%) and internationally as required
