We are looking for a Manager, Licensing UCAN (US & Canada) to lead end-to-end strategy, development and execution of our Food & Beverage and Consumables categories across our slate of titles. These are growing categories for us and present new ways to reach our fans and members. Whether for a small but mighty anime title or for a global hit like Stranger Things or Bridgerton, we believe we have the opportunity to bring storytelling to new categories off the platform. To achieve this goal you will work closely with cross-functional teams with the overall goal of ensuring that Netflix consumer products in these categories are an impactful extension of title strategies and deliver on our promise to create fan joy.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead merchandise licensing efforts across food & beverage and consumables including business development and brand management of the licensees. You will be able to identify and evaluate strong licensing partners who can deliver on an established set of KPIs (e.g. quality, distribution, sales performance) and whose goals align with ours. You will negotiate favorable deals and proactively manage licensees to achieve our short and long-term strategic goals.
• Be an internal and external champion of the licensing strategy and vision.
• Actively embrace a licensing strategy and execution plan that is highly relevant to our IP and sparks member joy.
• Identify upstream requirements and impacts (e.g. legal, financial, business planning, approvals) for merchandise development and ensure that key milestones are met.
• Be informed of the priorities and complexities of cross-functional teams (e.g. content, marketing, publicity, PR, social, etc.) and understand how consumer products benefit and support other teams' work.
• Take a 'creative friendly' approach to licensing and ensure appropriate internal stakeholders are involved in key decision-making.

What we need from you:
• 8+ years of experience in building and owning the end-to-end licensing function at a reputable lifestyle, entertainment, brand or retailer.
• Robust knowledge of the current licensing and retail landscape with a sharp eye on emerging consumer and category trends.A proactive approach to the value chain from ideation around IP through to delivery and consumer experience.
• Impeccable contacts and network of stakeholders across the licensing industry.
• Ability to identify and innovate with new and influential brands to create buzzy collaborations.
• Desire to partner cross-functionally with our Merchandise Strategy and Strategic Planning & Analysis teams to create the best licensing plan for our IP.
• Proactive self-starter, who will be resourceful in order to find solutions to any challenge.
• Possess strong interpersonal, creative, presentation, problem-solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organizational, prioritization, decision making, analytical and conflict resolution skills.
