Legal Specialist, Consumer Claims (German Speaker)
The Role
Location: Amsterdam
Are you a passionate legal professional with a keen eye for consumer-related matters and a flair for operational excellence? In this role, you will be part of our Consumer Claims team, where you will be responsible for handling requests from consumer organizations, consumer protection agencies, low-risk litigation matters, attorney letters, escalated consumer inquiries, among others legal related projects. You will also be instrumental in building and maintaining metrics and dashboards, improving global workflows, and enhancing our internal documentations. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on matters from different regions and significantly contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our global team.

Responsibilities
• Handle all phases of consumer claims, including service coordination, document validation, information indexing, claim investigation, information gathering, and response drafting.
• Handle various types of legally sensitive matters (e.g., bankruptcy notices, guardianship requests, etc.).
• Utilize customer service tools and internal resources to meticulously investigate claims to build the strategy to handle the matters.
• Develop, update, and maintain internal documentation such as policies, playbooks, and legal research summaries.
• Partner with internal stakeholders like customer service, public policy, marketing, and product counsel to refine strategies and provide actionable business insights.
• Assist in the analysis, design, and implementation of enhanced global workflows to optimize operational efficiency.
• Manage development and deployment of new data dashboards for the global team and identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes.
• Collaborate in the implementation and maintenance of legal compliance programs (e.g., Dawn Raid).
Requirements
• 6+ years of experience in legal operations in a law firm and/or legal in-house team.
• Fluency in English and German is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a good sense of humor
• Self-starter with an ability to work independently, and reliably while using impeccable judgment to make decisions, escalate matters when necessary and manage priorities.
• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally with teams in different locations.
• Superior analytical skills, with attention to detail, and a mindset that processes can always be improved.
• Proficient in drafting, revising, and organizing documents such as responses to legal matters, policies, playbooks, etc.
• Experience in creating and maintaining metrics and dashboards, with skills in data organization and reporting.
• Solution-driven mindset and the ability to think practically, looking for innovative solutions that can scale.
• Flexibility and willingness to provide administrative support on a broad range of legal matters (ie. manage budget).
• Experience with Consumer Claims or Legal Operations (nice to have).
