Engineering Manager, Consumer Identity Tools

The Role

As part of the Consumer Identity and Access organization, the Consumer Identity Tools team builds tools and workflows that can be leveraged for testing for delightful and highly optimized developer experiences for our platforms. We are seeking a talented Engineering Manager to bootstrap a new team of local and remote engineers to build a vision and strategy, and drive the development of this work that will be leveraged across Netflix engineering to support our culture of experimentation, autonomy and ownership.

Role Scope:
• Provide technical vision, strategy and execution oversight for developing testing frameworks, tests and tooling
• Build strong and productive relationships across engineering and security stakeholders
• Balance immediate stakeholder needs vs longer-term vision
• Lead a dream team of engineers to execute on a shared vision between security, engineering, and product partners
• Grow and mentor this team through a supportive mindset, thoughtful observation, and courageous, honest feedback

Must-Haves:
• Experience building developer productivity tooling and test workflows.
• Experience in creating team roadmaps and OKRs, and prioritizing effectively.
• An engineering mindset that stays technically curious and engaged in innovation and encourages learning in the team.
• Ability to create scalable solutions to streamline product requirements and user feedback.
• Thoughtful leadership with experience in hiring, coaching and retaining strong engineering talent with various needs for personal and professional growth.
• Strong partner for engineering leaders, equally passionate about working with engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location.
