The Netflix Dubbing Production team is responsible for getting those amazing programs to our growing international audience. As a Dubbing Regional Lead, you will be responsible for how members experience dubbed audio, ensuring Netflix customers across the globe get the highest quality experience from our localized audio assets. As we continue to add support for new languages and expand our global membership, providing best-in-class localized content is critical to our success.

THE ROLE

The Dubbing Regional Lead will be the main liaison to local region Content teams, managing titles for their respective content or language on the Dubbing Production team. The ideal candidate is experienced in strategic thinking and thrives in managing a wide slate of expertise while safeguarding all Content team's expectations through Dubbing Production. You will be overseeing the local region's team of Dubbing Managers, Title Managers and Language Production Managers who are managing the execution of the launch of all dubbed assets on titles.

We are seeking a candidate who has strength in leadership, strategic thinking, self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, able to pivot when necessary, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities. The candidate should have experience in managing large teams, a passion for language and an appreciation for regional and cultural nuances. This is a demanding and fast-moving position that requires someone who can have a holistic approach to managing teams locally while working closely with other regional or global teams to produce Dubbing in up to 36 languages.

Responsibilities:
• Working closely with key stakeholders and cross-functional teams throughout the dubbing process, to formulate and execute dubbing strategy that would be appropriate for different markets/languages in the region to support the growth and presence of Netflix.
• Represent Netflix in the regional localization marketplace in a professional manner. Ready to represent Netflix Dubbing at regional and local industry events to promote the dubbing group, when necessary.
• Supervise the regional team to communicate project requirements and meet quality standards for the respective target titles and languages in the region.
• Pursuit of standardization and implementation of workflows and practices that help the Dubbing team to achieve creative and operational excellence in the respective region.
• Partner with counterpart regional Directors to implement goals and strategic priorities defined by the global Dubbing Leadership team
• Partner with internal teams Dubbing Strategy and Innovation & Dubbing, Global Resource Strategy to drive and execute initiatives to successfully implement new technology and tools in the respective region with efficiency and scalability as a goal.
• Manage a team of Dubbing Manager(s), Language Production Manager(s) and Dubbing Title Managers/Specialists in the respective region and oversee performance and development to maximize potential and contribution within the company.
• Partner with the Finance and Accounting teams with tracking and maintenance of local dubbing costs in the region.
• Closely monitoring of activities of actors unions/guilds that could influence pricing and general market behavior.
• Closely monitoring of activities of competitors' landscapes that could influence dubbing capacity and general market behavior.
• Constant support to our internal cross-functional partners for any dubbing need in the respective region.
• Liaising with Netflix's Dubbing partners to ensure they embrace and understand our goals.
• Have a working knowledge of the dubbing contracts and local best practices between talent and Netflix's dubbing vendors.
• Apply working knowledge on all phases of dubbing (creative, technical and operations) as needed in the respective region with the Netflix Production and Post teams.
• Collaborate with studios and Global Resource Strategy to ensure implementation of rate cards and service contracts.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 10+ experience in management, dubbing operations, creative services and/or sales/client services or a related localization and dubbing position
• Extensive experience managing and leading dubbing and localization team members.
• A working knowledge of the APAC region.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in another language is beneficial.
• A strategic presence with the ability to inspire immediate trust and professionally represent Netflix.
• Business travel and ability to work remotely, as needed.
• Must be a self-starter, team-builder, and visionary leader.
• Must possess excellent presentation skills with the ability to concisely present Netflix's unique values via different means of communication including trade shows
• Preferred technical skills: Avid ProTools, MS Office (Excel, PPT, Word), Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Hangouts), Apple (Keynote, Numbers, Pages), Salesforce CRM, and messaging apps.
• Provide innovative thinking around scalable solutions and workflows, constantly questioning existing systems and looking for a better way
• Highly analytical and able to get to the root cause of a problem; able to creatively figure out a solution or propose changes to existing workflows as required
• A strong understanding of Dubbing workflows and pipelines, including real-time workflows.
• Contribute to the company's culture of curiosity and self-disciplined proactive responsibility as part of the Dubbing team.
• Constantly questioning existing systems and looking for a better way.
• Adept at writing, facilitating, and presenting analyses.
