The Post Services team is charged with the strategy, implementation, and operational management of Netflix's purpose-built facilities and infrastructure, which include a diverse global portfolio of screening and review spaces that cater to a variety of use cases. We offer bleeding-edge technology, workflows, and expert services to our filmmakers and studio. In this early stage of our expansion to support external screenings, you'll have a unique opportunity to pioneer and influence the course of our theatrical field operations. We're looking for a visionary engineer who will not only extend our high presentation standards to the East Coast operations, but will continuously push the envelope to enhance the enjoyment of filmmakers and audiences alike.

In this role, you will
• Serve as a technical lead and operate high-profile screenings at the Paris Theater, such as premieres, press screenings and awards engagements,
• Conduct tech checks with partners and talent, performing picture and sound calibration to achieve satisfaction
• Oversee daily exhibition best practices for general venue programming at the Paris Theater, seeking to maintain a high standard of exhibition quality
• Oversee and support screenings at 3rd party East Coast venues including festivals, and other high-profile publicity screenings
• Represent Netflix as its trusted expert at screening events and festivals, ensuring filmmaker satisfaction
• Support internal studio screening needs in the Netflix New York corporate office
• Consistently monitor quality of venues in New York and stay current on changes and upgrades
• Liaise with internal engineering teams on major upgrades and troubleshooting
• Provide excellent service to internal Netflix stakeholders and filmmaking talent
• Perform maintenance on cinema projection equipment, sound systems, servers, etc.
• Establish efficient workflows to ensure a reliable and consistent experience
• Partner closely with Events and Regional Publicity, Post Production Management teams, Distribution, Workplace Operations, and Media Systems Engineering to achieve uncompromising experience and drive filmmaker and audience satisfaction

The Ideal candidate
• 10+ years of experience in high-end theatrical exhibition, working in an engineering capacity in a client facing role
• Demonstrated leadership in running complex screening events, orchestrating a variety of technical functions seamlessly to achieve a successful show
• Hands-on experience with theatrical exhibition workflows, Digital Cinema specifications, maintenance, and calibration, including digital projection, QSC, Dolby, etc.
• Able to consistently deliver spectacular DolbyAtmos sound experience that accurately reproduces artistic intent
• Strong understanding of file formats, screening assets, and auxiliary media.
• Attention to details necessary to deliver pristine audio-visual presentation
• Ability to detect and diagnose faults with both assets and environments, and proactively flag issues
• Knowledge of Post Production imaging and color space, as well as sound workflows such as Nearfield and Theatrical mixes
• Familiarity with live event technology
• Knowledge of film projection is preferred
• Certified Barco / Christie projection is a plus
• QSYS Level 1 Cinema certification is a plus
• Dolby training is a plus
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a heavy volume of work
• Outstanding written and verbal communication and proactive, solution driven mentality
• Troubleshooting skills with a strong emphasis on long term solutions and innovation
• Resilient approach and proven ability to excel under pressure and thrive in constant change
• Existing relationships with outside vendors, including rental houses and engineering firms, is a plus
• Ability to respond after hours for important, timely, or urgent matters
• Ability and willingness to travel for work; primarily domestic, East Coast travel

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $245,000.
