The Role

The Financial Planning & Analysis group is looking for an Associate to focus on Financial Planning & Analysis for APAC Content and Corporate functions. This role will be a critical and integrated business partner to the global APAC content acquisition and production team and be responsible for financial planning and analytics for the company's rapidly expanding programming initiatives. This role will also cover the company-wide financial planning in APAC to accurately track trends in performance and identify opportunities for improvement, to help senior leaders make important and strategic decisions for Netflix.

Responsibilities
• Own Opex and headcount forecasts and reporting for Content (both Creative and Production), Talent, Financial Operations and Legal teams across markets in APAC including India
• Work with senior leadership within the content and production organization to translate strategic initiatives into financial plans
• Design, develop, and maintain financial models, metrics, analyses, reports and dashboards to communicate business performance and actionable insights in APAC
• Provide recommendations on how to adjust future spending based on what's best for Netflix
• Improve workflows to scale with the growth in investment and organization
• Lead and support various APAC-wide or country-specific projects
• Support Manager in conducting deep dives and ad-hoc analyses on key cost levers and strategic initiatives

Qualifications
• Candidates are required to be highly analytical and be strong, effective communicators
• Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of superior financial and strategic analysis, and delivering actionable recommendations in a clear and concise manner
• The successful candidate must display initiative in anticipating and exceeding the business demands of senior-level executives and cross-functional stakeholders. Candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment and exhibit the highest personal and professional standards of integrity and ethics
• Netflix is fast-growing with a flat organizational structure, which means that employees are often asked to perform tasks with a range of difficulties. Candidate must be motivated, disciplined, flexible, and be able to work effectively autonomously

Requirements
• 3+ years of relevant experience. Prior experience in Financial Planning & Analysis is preferred. Prior experience in the Media / Entertainment industry is a plus.
• Extensive experience conducting quantitative and qualitative financial analysis.
• Must be proficient in working with systems and automated reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Workday financials, etc.). Financial systems development experience is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholder management
• Superior proficiency with Excel; and complex financial modeling
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Fluent in English. Japanese or Korean language skill is a plus
• 4-year degree in a relevant field with strong academic performance
