Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Vice President, Ad Sales, Entertainment will be responsible for developing sales and go-to-market strategies for the NBCUniversal Entertainment Prime and NBC Sports Group ad sales. This person would represent the NBCUniversal these properties to agencies and clients and would work on building strategic and data driven cross portfolio solutions across linear and digital platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities
Client Relationships
• A single point of contact for clients/customers in the tri-state area
• Own the annual sales target in the region for assigned brands
• Develop integrated packages and programs
• Represent the entire NBCU Broadcast and NBC Sports Group in some key relationships and deals
Negotiation
• Negotiate complex deals at top management level that affect major aspects of advertising sales division performance in the region; pursue and close challenging and strategic accounts
• Develop and execute sales strategy across all platforms to maximize revenue
• Make deal decisions for assigned brands
Leadership
• Work closely with Account Executives and Sales Planning to oversee team of Sales Planners and Sales Assistants
• Evaluate the performance of advertising sales programs against desired outcomes
• Perform periodic performance reviews to determine employee eligibility for, among other things, merit increases, bonuses and promotional and transfer opportunities
Communication
• Internally serve as Brand Leader on assigned brand(s) and develop tools and messaging to all internal parties
• Represent NBCU in Ad Sales business community and manage relationships with various constituents
• Communicate and collaborate internally with other departments including Planning and Monetization, Marketing, Insights & Measurement, Client Partnerships and Strategy.

• 10+ years extensive Sales/Sales management experience
• Established network of contacts and relationships within the ad sales business community
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Willingness to travel and work overtime
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Desired Characteristics
• Previous VP/Management experience strongly preferred
• Excellent client relations skills
• Demonstrates strong executive-level presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Demonstrates a proactive approach and takes initiative to be innovative
• Experience in successfully communicating at all levels both verbally and in writing
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and be detail-oriented
• Bachelor's degree with an Advanced degree preferred
