Team Overview
You will join our office in New York, NY as a critical member of our Finance Data Operations (DO) team. You will work with colleagues in the global Finance and Technology organizations, playing a critical role deploying our finance data strategy as well as data migrations for our SAP S/4 Implementation. This role will support the master data for O2C and STP ensuring data is viewed as a product with strong stewardship and is properly consumed. You will work with several business units to ensure requirements are properly gathered and that the central data governance is upheld.
Role Purpose:
NBCUniversal is embarking on a legacy ERP to SAP S/4 Hana transformation, and you will be an important part of ensuring our success with data migration. In this role, you will align with several verticals to gather data migration requirements and ensure data validations are completed in a timely manner through cutover.
In this role, you will also be an important part of our Finance Data Governance and Stewardship program, driving operational excellence of data architecture and stewardship. In this role you will align with business unit and finance leaders on data requirements, enforce data governance and exceptions, and provide guidance to your stakeholders on best practices related to SAP's standard data elements and metadata.
An important aspect of this role is creating solutions that align with the functional business process and managing the data operations to support the goals of the business. You will provide expertise in identifying the relevant master and transactional data required to support business processes, operational insights, and analytics. You will explore and understand Finance Data landscape – key data domains, critical data elements, business rules, source systems and serve as a steward to ensure integrity of important data integrations. You will focus on understanding user personas, conducting use research, define data security controls.
Responsibilities:
• Organize and operationalize data cleansing tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Translate data governance and stewardship policies and processes to functional colleagues and clearly communicate the value and benefits it brings to downstream processes.
• Participate in workshops and sessions around data migration design and validation, serving as a SPOC during data dry runs and validations.
• Support data governance initiatives, ensuring data integrity and consistency across different datasets (RTR, O2C, PTP).
• Ensure involvement of the right NBCU SME support to validate the data migrated and get the sign off for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide operational support seeking opportunities as a SME within your pillar for areas of data stewardship process improvements and automation
• Build relationships with business units to understand data needs and gain trust for successful data stewardship.
• Collaborate with business units to identify data issues and prioritize cleansing activities.
• Ensure data quality is reviewed and KPIs are meeting agreed upon standards
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• University degree required: Finance or Information Systems preferred
• Strong SAP Master Data experience: practical experience with SAP Data-related tools (e.g., Data Analytics, SAP MDG)
• Comfortable with the concepts of custom Z tables and fields
• Experience in vendor or customer master data is required
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including the ability to run complex formulas
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple data cleansing tasks simultaneously
• Ability to quickly learn and understand new systems, processes, and dataset
Desired Characteristics:
• 2+ years of Media & Entertainment industry experience is preferred

• This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
