Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Create and drive strategic plans to support sales goals through the lens of categories.
• Partner closely with Sales teams to uncover insights and create solutions for growth and differentiation aimed at increasing category and client KPIs.
• Maintain deep understanding of advertising categories and broader media ecosystem.
• Lead analytically driven projects and deliver proposals to identify and capture future growth areas.
• Identify strategies to expand and enhance NBCU value proposition to new and existing advertisers.
• Maintain working knowledge of competitive set to adequately position NBCU.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to align on priority initiatives and go to market.
• Operate as a thought leader for the Ad Sales Strategy team. Actively contribute to strategic discussions and decision making.
• Promote a highly collaborative, innovative data-driven culture that challenges norms with a bias to action and speed; support diversity of thought, experience and approaches to solve issues.
• Ensure transparency, collaboration, and communication with senior leadership and stakeholders – advocate and champion strategy, team and process.
• Be an inspirational leader for best-in-class strategy talent in an innovative, fast-moving environment.
• Define, implement and track metrics to measure success.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
• 13+ years of experience in media/brand planning in support of an advertising sales function from a digital ad-based business, entertainment media company or media agency
• 5+ years of experience attracting talent, building, managing, and motivating high performing teams in large, matrixed organizations

• Knowledgeable of the overall media ecosystem, key trends, and marketplace dynamics currently
• Successful track record of defining and delivering competitive, innovative sales strategies that drive business results. Recognized as a thought leader in strategy development who anticipates industry trends.
• Experience navigating complex customer, industry and stakeholder dynamics.
• Proven success in forging and developing excellent relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Outstanding verbal and written skills.
• The ability to successfully influence senior leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams while managing through change.
