Responsibilities

Senior Director of Content Distribution will support and lead distribution of NBCU's portfolio of media properties to a wide range of companies, spanning MVPDs, virtual MVPDs, and OTT/streaming platforms. NBCU's portfolio includes the NBC and Telemundo television networks and broadcast stations, a stable of leading cable networks, five (5) regional sports networks (RSNs), a direct-to-consumer (DTC) service, Peacock, free ad-supported streaming (FAST) channels, TV Everywhere (TVE) applications and video on demand (VOD) content.

Reporting to SVP, Content Distribution, the Senior Director will support negotiations for linear networks (and related digital content) with MVPDs and virtual MVPDs, as well as DTC/TVE application and FAST channel distribution with OTT/streaming video platforms.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Support and lead distribution negotiations and deals to secure optimal transactional outcomes for NBCUniversal's broadcast stations, cable networks, RSNs, Peacock, FAST channels, and TVE/VOD content.
• Work cross functionally to support negotiations, including contributing to proposals and related negotiation materials.
• Build key client relationships, learning about their priorities to manage distribution and partnership opportunities.
• Collaborate and communicate regularly with key internal partners/clients (i.e. Peacock, Advertising Sales, NBC Sports, NBC Entertainment, Telemundo, etc.) to drive alignment around shared priorities.
• Work with Partner Marketing to implement marketing partnerships that generate value for NBCUniversal and our distribution partners.
• Lead post-deal implementation work and contract compliance efforts.
• As a team member within NBCU's Content Distribution team, foster an inclusive and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• 7+ years of work experience in media and entertainment, technology or consulting/finance.
• Bachelor's degree required; post graduate degree (MBA/JD) preferred.

Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge and interest in the media ecosystem, platforms, distribution, and advertising models.
• Experience negotiating with both internal and external stakeholders to accomplish shared goals and/or close transactions.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills and experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to prepare and deliver internal and external presentations.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
