The Position
NBCUniversal Advertising Platforms & Operations is responsible for the product development, project management, and day-to-day operations of NBCUniversal's full advertising technology suite. From product management to program management, from sales enablement to sales operations, from product marketing to strategic communications, our division services both internal and external customers in support of NBCUniversal's $10B+ annual advertising business. Together, we're building the platform that powers the future of advertising at NBCU.The Technology Transformation team within Advertising Platforms & Operations (AP&O) oversees strategic projects and programs to support business priorities for NBCU's Global Advertising & Partnerships organization and manages organizational workflow standards and governance to ensure efficient product delivery. We are currently seeking a Program Manager of Technology Transformation to manage NBCU's Business Intelligence initiative and various small to medium-sized projects. This role requires collaboration with external vendors and partners, as well as internal stakeholders across NBCU's brands (Entertainment, News, Peacock, and Sports), Advertising & Partnerships, Operations & Technology, Sales Strategy, and Measurement and Impact.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Director, PMO, the person in this role will:
• Lead one or more cross-functional programs, coordinating between internal resources and third-party vendors
• Own all program artifacts (including but not limited to project plans, roadmaps, risk register, communications plan) and facilitate meetings with detailed agendas and notes
• Manage conflicts, recognize risks, and employ mitigation tactics to ensure successful program execution
• Oversee the successful transition from product launch to ongoing operational support (i.e., transition management back to the business)
• Build and manage stakeholder relationships (both internal and external), communicating consistent updates as needed (bi-weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly) on the active and requested initiatives
• Support the Senior Director with additional project management, as needed
• Identify opportunities to share and leverage best practices and processes cross-functionally
• Create and maintain Ad Platforms & Operations documentation
• Champion the organizational vision of our team and evangelize our systems and tools to enable consistent and efficient product management
Qualifications/Requirements
• 2+ years of PM experience with a business or PM degree or 2-5 years of PM experience with non-PM/business degree
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to organize meetings, including creating pertinent agendas, managing conversations, and summarizing the results into a set of decisions made and next steps
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and deliver quality results
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and customer service
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Atlassian tools
Desired Characteristics
• Experience in digital media and advertising platforms
• Attention to detail while reviewing deliverables for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project requirements
• Proven ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts for a variety of audiences
