Responsibilities
Role Summary:
The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for all aspects of show payroll. This role will report to the First and Lead Accountants and assist them in the payroll related aspect of the NYS Film Tax Credit. In addition, this role will provide accounting support when needed.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and process all SAG-AFTRA contracts to be sent to payroll
• Prepare and process all Non-Union, Guild and In-House Payroll
• Assist with batching accounting documents for Scenechronize
• Prepare and audit all payroll invoices for approval
• Enforcement of all Production Accounting guidelines/procedures as outlined in the studio manual
• Prepare show payroll start paperwork
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• At least one year of production or office experience

• Bachelor's degree required
• Must be willing to work in New York, NY
• Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU's Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Desired Characteristics:
• Accounting or payroll experience a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational and detail-oriented skills with great attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills and ability to complete work accurately in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Flexible team player willing to help out wherever needed.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with various internal and external personnel at show, corporate and vendor levels.
• Desire to learn and master new skills is a must.
• Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong working knowledge of union payroll (i.e., SAG-AFTRA, 829, WGA, DGA etc.)
• Basic understanding of NYS Film Tax Credit

• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
