Job Description

NBCUniversal Skycastle delivers strategic cross-platform concepts and meaningful branded content creative for advertising partners of the networks of NBCUniversal Local that generate results. We partner with brands and their agencies to create award-winning marketing campaigns that engage both general market, Hispanic and multicultural audiences. Alongside our local and national sales teams, we offer comprehensive creative services, featuring campaign ideation, cutting edge video production for all platforms, branded content, integrations, talent tie-ins, contests, events and more.

Responsibilities

NBCU Skycastle is seeking a Sports Marketing Manager to handle a wide range of duties in support of NBCU Skycastle and the NBCU Local Sales teams. This professional will be based in New York City and will report to the Vice President, Sports & Sales Marketing. The ideal candidate will demonstrate competence in Sales Marketing, Multicultural Sports Marketing, and a variety of skills as outlined below:
• Manage Sports Marketing efforts as part of NBCU Skycastle
• Assist Sports Partnerships and Development Sales (SPD) and NBCU Skycastle colleagues in developing local marketing activations for major sports properties, including but not limited to Olympics, FIFA, NFL, MLB, and NBA
• Working from client RFPs, brand briefs and brainstorming with Sales and Marketing teams, you will create custom, linear and digital cross-platform marketing solutions for advertisers across the NBCU Local portfolio including NBC Owned Television Stations, NBC Sports Regional Networks, and Telemundo Station Group
• Support and manage pre/post-sell process for key client deals
• Assist in requesting research to support our client presentations and Proof of Performance campaign recaps
• Develop and maintain customized marketing collateral for NBCU Local Sports properties and new sales opportunities
• Update and maintain internal SharePoint sites and presentation archives for NBCU Local Sales Marketing Materials (properties, tent-poles, initiatives)
• Coordinate with integrated sales marketing counterparts on sports driven initiatives at the local market level including NBC and Telemundo Stations and the NBC Sports Regional networks
• Creation of capabilities presentations, case study/recap decks, and sales materials for all sports content verticals and distribution platforms
• Serve as main point of contact for Skycastle campaign-related issues, introducing phases of project execution, next steps, and timelines
• Work in conjunction with Production and Editorial teams on creation of client content
• Proactively identify and minimize potential problems throughout campaign and provide solutions
• Partner with cross-functional teams on concept development and campaign execution

Qualifications
• Four-year college degree in marketing, related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of sales marketing and/or project management experience
• Experience working for sports brand, agency or league
• Superior writing and oral communication skills and a sound understanding of linear and digital advertising/marketing
• Think creatively, communicate ideas effectively in writing and create PPT presentations which display those ideas with relevant imagery and an eye for design/layout
• A detail-oriented individual with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with competing deadlines, and to take the expectation of tight project turnarounds and constructive criticism in stride
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects across multiple points of contact with strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
• Possess fluency in the role of multicultural consumer content trends and multi-platform applications (digital, mobile, OTT/CTV, social media, video, audio, gaming and experiential) in marketing campaigns, with a passion for professional engagement with these platforms
• High degree of proficiency with full Office 365 Suite (e.g. Teams, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
• Must be willing to submit to a background investigation
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the NYC office a minimum of three days per week

Desired Characteristics
• General understanding of advertising marketplace across various platforms
• Experience in media marketing and the advertising sales process
• Passion for analytics and data, and ability to synthesize it into an impactful presentation
• Strong writing and presentation creation skills - ability to create engaging, visually, and thoughtfully designed materials, plans, and decks
• Proficiency with graphics program such as Adobe Photoshop helpful but not required
• A positive attitude and the ability to work/communicate effectively with different constituents
• Experience and understanding of sports marketing, rights and athlete talent
• Passion and knowledge of sports in general
• Fluent in speaking and writing Spanish is a plus

Salary Details
Salary Range: $85,000 to $90,000 Per Year ($ USD)
