Position Overview:
As part of the Media Group Decision Sciences team, the Director will be responsible for creating machine learning solutions for NBCU's video streaming services including but not limited to, the recommender systems, streaming content predictive modeling and MarTech.
In this role, the Director of Data Science will manage a team of data scientists in the design and execution of advanced analytical solutions using advanced data science methodologies including collaborative filtering, deep learning, reinforcement learning, on-line modeling, etc. They will lead collaboration with business owners and engineers to build state-of-the-art, real-time video streaming capabilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Build and manage a high-performance team of data scientists.
• Lead the team in the development of a recommendation system modeling and experimentation framework.
• Work with business stakeholders to define priorities, approaches, and business requirements.
Qualifications
• At least 7 years of professional experience working in Machine Learning
• At least 3 years of team or project-based management experience in recommender systems, deep learning, and big data
• Demonstrated experience as a cross-functional partner, with the ability to effectively navigate complex organizations and consensus-build
Preferred
• Experience working with graph-based recommendation systems
• Passion for media & entertainment
Additional Requirements:
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $200,000 - $250,000 (bonus and long-term incentive eligible)
