Responsibilities

Reporting to the VP, Development - Hispanic, the Director, Development – Hispanic will develop marketing offerings for Telemundo programming, including Telemundo's awards shows & specials, Entertainment News, News, and Cultural Moments.

The Director will manage a team and partner with One Platform (Marketing) and the Hispanic Branded Content team to develop strong marketing solutions to satisfy advertisers' business needs and meet revenue goals.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in advertising (agency or media company experience); experience in leading client-facing presentations; and expertise in developing, managing and executing integrated marketing campaigns for partners in major advertising categories (i.e. Auto, Telecommunications, CPG, Beverages, etc.).

STRATEGY & CLIENT FOCUS:
• Partner with One Platform Marketing (OPM) and Branded Content teams to develop best-in-class responses to client requests and proactive pitches to partners. Director will be the first interface with OPM for any client requests.
• Work with Sales and Marketing leadership to develop positioning and sales story for programs and division
• Identify and package sales opportunities for Upfront and Scatter markets for his/her assigned properties
• Use insights and client intelligence to create marketing solutions that deliver on client KPIs
• External focus to identify new content or technology capabilities that can be translated to revenue generating marketing opportunities
• Competitive landscape savvy and knowledge of industry trends.

SALES MATERIALS DEVELOPMENT:
• Lead the development of proactive marketing materials for sales team, including program decks and marketing opportunities
• Collaborate with programming, production, branded content, legal, and emerging media teams to develop marketing opportunities
• Develop client-centric pitch presentations and case studies.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION:
• Develop deep relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to push creativity and create new opportunities for our advertising partners that leverage the power of NBCUniversal's portfolio of assets.
• Partner closely with peers in One Platform Marketing to drive awareness of offerings and develop compelling RFP responses
• Effectively and efficiently works with cross-functional teams (including, but not limited to, larger Hispanic Group Creative Partnerships team, Pricing & Monetization, Ad Sales team, trade marketing, legal counsel, branded entertainment, research, digital partnerships and show producers).

CAMPAIGN MANAGEMENT/EXECUTION:
• Oversee activation of show partnerships along with Marketing Manager, Branded Content partners, and One Platform Marketing partners.
• Partner with Branded Content partners to ensure timelines are met, scope of work is created and kept up-to-date, and full coordination with Pricing & Monetization.
• Lead digital execution with network production partners and social team to ensure seamless execution

MANAGEMENT:
• Oversee one (1) Marketing Manager
• Direct day-to-day workflow of team, write team's yearly reviews, recommend training for team developmental needs and identify opportunities to improve internal work processes by making recommendations -- and elevating those to VP.

LEADERSHIP:
• Help resolve conflicts, obtain and negotiate necessary internal buy-ins and vet marketing programs.
• Present in broader team meetings to drive awareness of our offerings and build excitement for our capabilities
• Identify and recommend campaigns that warrant press coverage and that require proper escalation.
• Serve as an ambassador for One Platform Creative & Development – Hispanic team across NBCUniversal Ad Sales and Marketing departments.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Four year degree (B.A., B.S.) from an accredited college; MBA/graduate-level education preferred, or equivalent work experience
• 6+ years of marketing, production, agency and/or sales experience, where the individual worked within the integrated marketing and/or branded entertainment landscape.

Eligibility Requirements:
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
