Job Description
The Director, Business Analytics & Industrial Engineering will lead the development and execution of strategies to enhance operational efficiency and drive business growth. This role combines expertise in industrial engineering with advanced business analytics to optimize processes and inform strategic decisions.
Responsibilities Include:
• Lead and manage efforts to analyze operations and workflows to enhance process efficiencies in theme park operations, aiming to maximize the utilization of facilities and personnel. Identify, prioritize, and lead the implementation of initiatives that drive continuous improvement in process and operating performance. Facilitate studies related to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and service processes/systems.
• Direct multiple, concurrent complex projects, document progress, and provide regular status updates to executive management.
• Lead efforts to design and apply quantitative methods to operational problem sets and challenges; apply objective, structured analytic techniques to a range of complex scenarios; summarize, synthesize, interpret, and analyze multi-source data (both structured and unstructured) as part of the analytic process.
• Analyze potential business opportunities, research competitive offerings, assess feasibility, develop business justifications/cases, deliver executive-level presentations, and ensure the effectiveness of business integration. Facilitate the sharing of ''best practices'' between UPR Park executives.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree required and Masters of Science degree preferred – Degrees in Industrial/Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or Management Science or Advanced Analytics
• Minimum of 12 years of experience in the field or in a related area; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
• The ability to work through complex, unstructured problems
• Capable of communicating and expressing ideas clearly and concisely, in both written and oral formats.
• Strong interpersonal, technical and presentation skills required.
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
