Job Description

As an Associate Producer for TODAY with Jenna and Friends, you will work directly with producers and senior producers to help pitch, write, and produce entertainment, lifestyle, and pop culture content for broadcast.

Responsibilities:
• Assist with full scope of production including research, booking, and pre-interviewing
• Write and produce segments
• Gather visual elements, prep graphics, and assist with editing for segment production
• Coordinate with technical and operations staff and outside resources selected by producers

Qualifications
• At least three years' of editorial experience working in production at the network level, preferably with morning television
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Must have strong social media knowledge
• Proficient in Outlook and iNews
• Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, under tight deadline pressure, including breaking news; ability to work additional hours beyond scheduled shift with little or no notice if needed
• Willing and able to work in New York, NY
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics:
• DV shooting experience
• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems including Avid
• Demonstrated strong knowledge and interest in pop culture
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to pitch original and creative ideas
• Strong journalistic writing and research skills, as well as editorial judgment
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments
• Knowledge of NBC News Policies and Guidelines and Practices

Additional Job Requirements:
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
