Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Technology team in San Francisco, supporting NBC Sports Bay Area. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for implementing and supporting technology and users in our mission-critical media production and enterprise IT environment. A Snapshot of Your Responsibilities:
• Gather requirements, plan, and implement technical and workflow solutions for Content, Operations, Live Events, and Creative Services partners.
• Administer media production applications, systems, and infrastructure, ensuring the reliability of technology and operations.
• Develop and maintain system documentation for operational and troubleshooting purposes.
• Provide technical support, incident response, and maintain clear customer communication.
• Ensure compliance with NBCUniversal cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from our San Francisco office.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, radio, television and film, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
Desired Characteristics:
• Experience in supporting mid to major market news or live event production operations and 24/7 mission-critical technology facilities.
• Expertise in planning, implementation, and support of media technology, including ST2110, SDI video infrastructures, contribution and distribution encoding, live production systems, news gathering tools, NRCS, NLE, media asset management, and transmission systems.
• Strong foundation in core IT principles, including administration of physical, virtualized, and cloud compute and storage, networking, and domain and identity management.
• Proven track record of successfully leading complex projects resulting in satisfied stakeholders.
