Responsibilities
• Drive cross-functional programs aligned with strategic goals and business objectives across editorial, operations, engineering, finance, HR, and other News Group stakeholders
• Lead PMO governance and best practices for Agile based work as well as traditional programs
• Help execute the News Group product roadmap helping maintain existing and new product and functional specifications, and associated project plans
• Understand business requirements and user stories for products, features and migrations, and build relationships with key stakeholders
• Work with technology, development and infrastructure teams to scope, build, scale and run projects on time and budget
• Communicate project calendars, milestones, progress, and blockers to all stakeholders
• Monitor program status and proactively identify issues and risks to stakeholders, and collaborate to ensure timely resolution
• Identify and reconcile interdependencies among multiple projects, products, and strategic initiatives across the News Group
• Drive reporting and communication around goals, timelines and creative direction for new products and initiatives
• Execute roadmap deliverables to ensure adoption and success criteria, as defined by stakeholders
• Maintain repository of all PMO portfolio of responsibilities
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer
Science and Engineering, Communications, Technology,
Business Administration or related field
• 5+ years of experience working in a Program
Management Office (PMO), or Project Management role
• Media background preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation
skills with ability to relate complex information to both
technical and non-technical audiences
• Coursework in Agile, Scrum, PMO, Governance,
Leadership, Lean Six Sigma, Program Governance,
Project Management, PMP or PGMP prep work
• Experience with various PMO methodologies such as a
mix of Waterfall/Agile/Scrum/Kanban
• Proficiency with Jira, Jira Align, Smartsheets, Tableau,
Confluence, PPM tools, Microsoft PowerPoint, Visio,
Word, Excel, MS Project, SharePoint and or related tools
• Ability to adapt to changes quickly, capable to pivot and
focus on competing initiatives, as well as manage
multiple priorities simultaneously
• Proven track record of managing different products and
platforms
• Knowledge of structure, capabilities, and standards
relating to databases, browsers, content management
systems, operating systems, software packages
• Must submit an attestation disclosing your COVID-19
