Broadcast Engineer, NBC News Channel (Charlotte)

Responsibilities

NBCUniversal has an opening for an Engineer of Broadcast & On-Air Systems, for NBC News Channel in Charlotte, NC. The Engineer of Broadcast & On-Air Systems will be part of a dedicated 24x7 team tasked with supporting and maintaining this facility and operation, including immediately addressing on-air and critical issues as they arise.

Responsibilities:
• Provide daily technical support for a 24x7x365 broadcast facility and its users.
• Responding to outage calls from operations team and lead initial response to any technical issues.
• Working with internal subject matter experts and vendors to resolve problems as necessary.
• Assisting with implementation of software upgrades and system expansion.
• Performing periodic maintenance procedures such as system health checks and proactive system restarts.
• Collaborate with team across multiple technical disciplines.

Qualifications/Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements:
-2+ years of technical support in a live broadcast environment.
