An established worldwide film distributor located east of downtown Los Angeles, specializing in independent films, is looking for an awesome, energetic, and resourceful person to handle digital distribution of our film catalogue. Ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a small office environment -- in a team or independently. You will be responsible for distribution execution from pitching, file management and preparation, online marketing, to digital onboarding to film distributors such as Amazon, Paramont+, TubiTV and others. You will need impeccable organizational and technical skill to manage assets, as well as proficient written and verbal communication skills in order to be the company’s liaison between licensors/content partners and platforms/distributors worldwide. We’re in the media rights management business, so attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential matters are also very critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Work with broadcast standard visual/audio, images, and other assets; verify assets meet quality and integrity requirements; ensure assets conform to each distributor's specifications. Organize, track and manage assets according to company procedures.
§ Use commercial software, proprietary system, and AI technology to edit and create conforming deliverable assets, and generate metadata with high accuracy.
§ Communicate with content owners and be liaison between content owners, internal team, distributors, as well as outside vendors and labs, to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverable.
§ Be the team leader on social media marketing programs. Maintain online branding and message standards, ensure timeliness of social media postings and updates, and create campaign calendars.
REQUIREMENTS:

§ College degree preferred (some college with equivalent experience acceptable), in film, media, marketing, communications, or related field with strong research skills.
§ Competent with MS Office (Word, Excel), photo editing and video editing programs on both Mac and PC based systems.
§ Positive, accountable, adaptable, self-starter and goal-driven are the personality traits we need for this position. You must have a 'can-do' attitude, the ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issue, and to help improve current working process.
§ Highly organized, accurate and detail-oriented with all your activities. (If you have a lot of files saving on your desktop or need other people to double check your typos, this is not your type of job.)
§ Passion for films and articulating in film elements and various genres of independent films, and strong interest in learning about film distribution from a macro point-of-view.
§ Personable with a professional demeanor; ethical and able to handle confidential matters.
§ Some understand and skills in social media marketing will be considered a plus (youtube, Facebook, Instagram, etc).
