Who are we hiring?
This position will support the New York Rangers fan engagement, youth programs, and alumni relations efforts. Through the development and execution of fan-facing programs, events and experiences, the position will help build the next generation of fans and strengthen affinity for the Rangers brand.
This position will provide critical operational and execution support on a day-to-day basis for a wide range of programs throughout the New York Metropolitan area including camps and clinics, tournaments, leagues, in-arena fan touch-points, alumni appearances, and other special events and projects, with the goal of ensuring the successful execution of strategic, best-in-class experiences.
What will you do?
• Develop and execute programs aligned with our fan engagement and youth strategies - including the Junior Rangers Girls Hockey League, Peewee Girls Tournament Team, Girls Hockey Weekend, Girls Camps & Clinics, and more.
• Manage relationships and programs with external organizations promoting diversity in hockey, such as Ice Hockey in Harlem, T.E.A.M Hockey, and Rangers Sled Hockey.
• Partner closely with the Marketing department to develop integrated marketing strategies that support youth participation goals.
• Develop, allocate, and execute the Rangers Fan Experience portfolio encompassing activations and events at MSG and the MSG Training Center to support business initiatives.
• Serve as a point of contact for the Rangers Alumni network and build strong relationships to drive engagement and support the holistic alumni strategy.
• Collaborate with a variety of departments to schedule Rangers Alumni appearances and coordinate scheduling, budgeting, and itineraries.
• Oversee New York Rangers Signing Days for memorabilia needs across the entire business
• Organize and track department spending, based on annual budgets, including submitting purchase orders and processing invoices. Help manage project-specific budgets.
• Manage department CRM databases to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Support NYR Alumni Relations Youth and Community based appearances and events in conjunction with internal stakeholders.
What do you need to succeed?
• Detail-oriented, highly organized individual with experience or interest in project management
• Adaptable individual who will establish effective relationships across multiple departments and functional areas
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Undergraduate college degree required
• Must be able to work nights and weekends
• Ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of the youth hockey landscape and experience working with grassroots/community programs or events
Pay Range
$45,000 - $65,000 USD
