Job Description

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (''MGM'') is seeking a Senior Manager, Licensing for the Consumer Products Team who will be responsible for handling specific product categories across all franchises. This includes but not limited to devising growth strategies, identifying and filling product category gaps and procuring new licensees. This individual must be able to connect our brands to our fans by implementing innovation, offering retail solutions and building strong partnerships in the industry.

• Accountable for meeting or exceeding annual revenue targets
• Responsible for developing, nurturing and creating new business for select assigned categories
• Able to pitch, negotiate and manage contracts for new business opportunities
• Encourage growth with existing roster of partners and identifying new partners to strengthen licensee base
• Set-up and lead licensee business reviews including but not limited to conducting quarterly, sell-in/POS analysis, category/competition research, updating licensee lists and meeting deadlines
• Present and meet retailer needs by distribution channels while driving innovation to the consumer
• Drive the creation and implementation of annual financial and marketing plans, set product positioning and communicate objectives with partners
• Participate and contribute to the strategic planning process by developing strategies and business plans across categories and brands
• Development of brand licensing and category strategies, short & long-term, for sustainable growth
• Budget, forecast and recap sales for categories
• Support global cross-functional partners to ensure product concepts translate into saleable merchandise that hits financial targets
• Liaise with various departments within the organization to communicate new product initiatives and strategies
• Analyze market, retailer and consumer trends in order to be competitive
• Work closely with product development to ensure product positioning within category, ensure on-time market entry, review submissions and meet deadlines
• Lead & manage licensee creative kick off meetings, write and submit creative briefs and provide solutions while partnering with the creative department
• • Enter deals into the system for the North America division
• Attend tradeshows, licensee showrooms and key buyer meetings

• Bachelor's degree required
• 5-8 years of professional experience with a minimum of 3 years of consumer product experience
• Retail relationships across North America
• High level interest in MGM Consumer Products
• Must have ability to work with multiple brands
• Should have a ''roll up your sleeves and get it done'' mentality
• Basic understanding of marketing, consumer buying habits and trends
• A strategic thinker who has the vision to plan and drive results and success
• Excellent analytical and negotiating skills
• Product marketing experience
• Strong presentation skills
