Job Description

Amazon Studios has an opening for an experienced UNSCRIPTED TV exec in the Netherlands. The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a commissioner and/or producer (network/studio) in both development AND production along with a deep knowledge of the creative and business challenges in supporting unscripted development and production from idea to launch. Must have proven creative instincts helping selecting, developing, producing and greenlighting unscripted projects as well as strong interpersonal skills and relationships with a deep established network within the local industry.

Key job responsibilities
 Help managing relationships with internal & external talent and key partners;
 Exercise excellent creative and business judgement, especially in spotting potential in ideas;
 Build relationships with creators, directors, producers, production companies, talent representatives and creative community;
 Understand the nuts and bolts of unscripted production, and production management and support all aspects of prep, shoot, and post from packaging to budget to casting to production issues in the field to editing and final delivery;
 Manage and supervise post-production/editing of content to ensure quality of finished
product meets Amazon's quality and creative standard
• Liaise with other departments including Marketing, Publicity, Research, Digital, Social and Business and Legal Affairs;
 Manage and develop a creative team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

 10+ years of experience in UNSCRIPTED TV content development and commissioning as a Senior producer or Creative Executive in a proven unscripted production company, network or studio;
 Extensive network of relationships in terms of writers, agents, producers, directors, rights owners etc;
 Proven development, writing and editing skills, as well as knowledge and understanding of storytelling trends;
 Impeccable people skills, both in terms of maintaining internal relationships and fostering external ones, with excellent oral and written communication skills;
 Understanding of contracts, negotiations.
 Fluency in Dutch and English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 Excellent English/Dutch written communication skills
 Production and/or project management experience in the TV industry;
 Experience supporting licensing, rights acquisitions and/or contract negotiations;
 Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field;
 Independent, entrepreneurial, passionate self-starter with a focus on delivery of excellence;
 Highly organized, details matter;
 Ability to operate in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment;
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
 Experience managing and developing creative teams.
