Job Description
Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a Head of Sales to oversee Canada. The candidate will be responsible for developing sales plans and negotiating with Canadian external parties on behalf of our global slate. The Head of Sales maintains strong external industry relationships, analyzes daily sales data, and closely monitors the industry landscape. This role functions as the key point of contact for all aspects of sales for Amazon MGM Studios within Canada. This position will report into the USKey job responsibilities
• Sales Strategy Development: Creating and executing a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Amazon MGM Studios' overall release plans, including market analysis, target audience identification, and pricing strategies.
• Negotiating: Engaging with national, regional, and local partners to secure optimal coverage, while negotiating favorable financial terms.
• Market Analysis and Forecasting: Utilizing data analytics to forecast performance, identify key markets, and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
• Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
• Sales Team Leadership: Managing a team of sales representatives, providing coaching, and setting performance goals to achieve sales targets.
• Competitive Analysis: Monitoring industry releases and adjusting sales strategies to maintain market position.
• Marketing Collaboration: Working closely with internal stakeholders to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns and maximize film awareness.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Extensive experience in sales within Canada, preferably with a proven track record in sales leadership roles.
• Deep understanding of the Canadian industry landscape, including market dynamics, and audience segmentation
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
• Data analysis and interpretation skills to make informed sales decisions
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to effectively convey sales strategies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prior experience at a major film studio or entertainment company
• Strong relationships with Canadian buyers, media partners, and agencies
• Experience with both traditional and digital marketing channels
• Track record of data-driven decision-making
• Experience integrating streaming and theatrical marketing strategies
