Development Director QV - Sims

We are looking for an experienced quality leader who is passionate about driving software and game quality to help lead our software products. You will provide leadership for the Quality Verification (QV) department, made up of Management, Quality Design, Engineering and Analytics. This multi-discipline department is a component of the development and live services for our franchises. You will report into the DD2 of the project.
Responsibilities:
• Manage operational aspects of Quality Verification planning in all development stages from pre-pro, production, launch, and live.
• Build Quality Assurance practices that improve upstream quality and shift left ideology.
• Use a data-driven approach to contribute to product quality and project efficiency; effective at understanding dashboards and measurements to guide decision-making.
• Collaborate across a diverse group of project leaders and development partners across multiple locations globally.
• Align internal partners towards the outlined goals and guide your team to achieve milestones at quality.
• Change management, viewing challenges as opportunities to implement strategic enhancements.
• Identify resourcing requirements, guide and cultivate changes to talent, skills, and practices to achieve operational and strategic goals.
• Manage performance and conduct annual reviews together with peers and management;
• Manage the professional growth of team members, set goals based on their personal development plans, and organize individual meetings.
• Collaboratively resolve obstacles, ensuring team satisfaction.
• Monitor and develop the talent skill-set, using training and proactive recruitment strategies.
• Provide mentorship and support to other leaders with diverse teams; build and mentor teams.
• Advocate for a culture of diversity and inclusion, promoting an environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
What you will need to be successful :
• 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (including Test strategy, implementing test methodologies, test automation, upskilling, driving best practices, KPIs, reporting, mentoring, resourcing, building teams, finding and providing solutions)
• 7+ years of experience in people management.
• 5+ Experience with project management and bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Qmetry) in an agile framework.
• An understanding of game development, interdisciplinary dependencies and associated development risks.
• Experience working within a collaborative team environment across many locations/timezones.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
