Editorial Operations Coordinator
The Editorial Operations Coordinator will support the Director, Editorial Operations in tracking talent schedules and availability across all comics publishing, keeping detailed notes on projects status and key action steps over the lifetime of a project, preparing reports for analysis, and communicating with Publishing stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Create and update editorial projects for the Director, Editorial Operations by
• Tracking and communicating key dates, including start dates for new projects
• Building delivery schedules for talent over the life of an assignment
• Preparing trends and productivity analysis for key talent
• Coordinating talent workloads across Editorial offices and projects
• Updating reports' data and adjusting the individual forecasting sheets
• Highlighting workload and scheduling issues for critical resources
Coordinate follow-ups and action items by
• Updating forecasting tools with detailed notes from analysis and meetings
• Monitoring progress of highlighted projects and escalating red flags for review
• Reviewing Editors talent and scheduling needs against available talent
• Updating stakeholders with project assignments, scheduling information, and publishing plan changes
• Working the with Director, Editorial Operations to balance the monthly Previews catalogue
Prepare additional reporting for the Editorial Operations team including
• Keeping a current list of projects in need of talent
• Updating a list of available talent with the Director, Talent Relations
• Reading ad hoc reports for review
• Owning agendas for regular meetings
Required Qualifications:
• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite, especially Word and Excel
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Self-organized and able to multi-task
• Basic knowledge of Marvel Comics and its characters
• Strong interpersonal skills
Required Education:
• BA/BS degree or equivalent field of study/relevant work experience required
The hiring range for this position in New York City, NY is $47,685 - $61,710 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
