Job Description

Title: MiL Rehab Performance Coordinator

Department: Minor League Strength & Conditioning

Status: Full-Time

Reports to: Director, Minor League Performance

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Provide a positive learning environment that fosters personal and team development for the players and coaches. Our focus lies in the areas of physical performance and rehabilitation related to baseball. This includes, but not limited to players’ individual biomechanics, strength training, mobility, stability, conditioning, performance nutrition, and recovery methods.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Testing and evaluating players in different movement patterns to help develop a needs analysis on players.
• Performance progressions related to rehabilitation needs.
• Leading team stretches and teaching facets of performance, nutrition, and recovery to players and staff.
• Basic knowledge and application skills in performance nutrition which includes the NSF certified for Sport program.
• Oversee the construction and implementation of rehab strength and conditioning programs specific to each individual needs and goals.
• Providing various reports in-season and off-season pertaining to athletes Dodger profile.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
• Communicating effectively with Dodger minor league affiliates to assist with in-season return-to-play programs.
• Work closely with medical department on both micro- and macro return-to-play progressions.
• Daily reporting to supervisors.
• Bi-monthly and daily reporting to supervisors and player development staff.
• Assist with ACL performance department daily operations (when applicable).
• Support Camelback Ranch major league return-to-play protocols when Performance Director and/or MiLB Strength and Conditioning Coordinator are out of the office.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• Integrity, relentless positivity, and motivation for players, staff, and coaches.
• Communicating with staff involved with player development.
• Proficient with knowledge in high-performance sport such as exercise physiology, kinesiology, performance nutrition, and biomechanics.
