Job Description
Overview:Under moderate supervision, the Assistant Security Manager is responsible for assisting with the oversight of various areas within the ballpark and parking lot in order to provide a safe and secure environment for employees, players and guests. Act as an asset protection specialists supporting the Front Office operation. Assist in management and maintenance of security equipment and systems.
This position is also benefit eligible including: medical, dental and vision insurance, 13 paid holidays, sick days, vacation accrual (2 weeks) , tickets to games, 401K eligibility after 1 year of employment (employer matching and safe harbor) and additional perks not listed above. This expected annual salary for this role will range between$67,000-$72,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters and based on experience.
Duties:
Will be responsible for radio communications and management of computer based incident reporting program, and credential programs. Ability to learn the functions of other departments to be able to log incidents occurred during an event in the system properly and accordingly. Provide oversight to ensure MLB and Angels Baseball security standards are met. Other duties include but are not limited to:
• Ensure and enforce Angels Baseball and MLB policies.
• As needed, patrols the facility, grounds, and parking lots.
• Participates in securing the facility, ensuring that all access points are secured.
• Monitor closed circuit television footage and alarms.
• Provides 24/7 loss prevention assistance for the stadium, includes conducting inspections of areas and equipment.
• Manage, train, and assess performance of all security personnel, to include but not limited to oversight of schedule and positioning of security staff.
• Document all security-related incidents, preparing and distributing necessary reports; as well as reviewing reports conducted by staff.
• Assist with lost and found recovery and claims.
• Assist in incident and threat management (research and documents incidents, threats, and persons)
• Serve as main point of contact for the scheduling of 24/7 and special event staff.
Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in security or event operations.
• Must possess strong interpersonal skills and diplomacy, work well with others; establishing and maintaining effective relationships with fellow workers and supervisors,
• Must have strong oral communication skills, works well under pressure, remaining calm yet tactful when required.
• Must be observant and have the ability to think clearly in emergencies; giving accurate instructions and information to others.
• Must have the ability to multi- task in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, evenings (including graveyard shifts if needed), and holidays.
• Must have a valid drivers license with satisfactory driving record.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to frequently sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to occasionally walk, climb stairs and ramps
• Must be able to work in inclement weather
• Must be able to occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 20 lbs.
