Live Nation Australia Venues – Festival Hall Melbourne

As the Technical and Operations Manager you will have the unique opportunity of working in one of Melbourne's favourite venues providing leadership over the production and venue event requirements. Your exceptional skills and proven experience will drive the company goals and ensure customer satisfaction.

Main Job Responsibilities:
• Liaise with promoters and touring production staff to ensure the effective, efficient, and safe delivery of their event.
• Work closely with the Venue Manager and Event Manager to ensure that each event's inventory is maximised to it's potential.
• Ensure the venue is configured between each event according to the next events specific requirements.
• Ensure the landlord is maintaining the venue in line with their lease obligations.
• Training, guidance, and rostering of BOH staff and contractors in line with budget allocations.
• Ensure an accurate and smooth flow of information internally and externally.
• Ensure BOH Risk Assessments are produced for all events and functions.
• Oversee the delivery of any allocated capital works items.
• Ensure all tenant required service agreements are in place with all major providers.
• An active member of the Venues OHS Committee
• Work closely with the Finance Partner and Venue Manager to ensure accurate flow of financial information for forecasting and settling of the event within 2 business days.
• Ensure all statutory (including licensing) requirements are discharged, conforming to all Health & Safety procedures and requirements including any new legislation.

Requirements:
• Previous experience in BOH Management at a Live Music Venue.
• Sound knowledge of audio visual equipment and operations.
• Good IT Skills, including the use of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work within a fast paced and ever-changing environment.
• Able to work nights, weekends and public holidays from time to time as required.

Desirable but not essential:
• Certification to operate chain motors
• Forklift License
• First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
