THE TEAM

The mission of the Marketing Insights Engineering team is to leverage data and technology to enhance the decision-making process for marketing. Our scope ranges from estimating channel attribution to ticket sales, to predicting future purchase behaviors, to identifying anomalous fans for filtering purposes. We holistically observe the business to create new and accelerate existing marketing programs.

THE ROLE

As a Technical Analyst, you will keep us honest about our contributions to the business as well as illuminate the path toward promising opportunities. Visualizing trends in ticket sales, identifying active channels for fan communication, and optimizing purchase funnels are just a few activities you can expect from this role. You will be a catalyst for data-driven decisions helping us match the best fans for every event we serve.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Track, socialize, and alert upon key marketing and business metrics
• Create hypotheses about the success of our marketing strategies and the behavior of our fans
• Perform primary exploratory data analysis to gather the data to support your hypotheses
• Design and execute experiments to confirm or reject your hypotheses
• Document and present your findings to technical and marketing audiences
• Translate these documents into action plans with measurable outcomes
• Partner with other teams to expand our business data fluency and reach

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING:
• 3+ years experience in an analyst or other quantitative analysis role.
• Deep understanding of technical marketing and its role in an organization.
• Solid fluency in SQL, bonus points for experience with a data lake vendor (we use Databricks).
• Experience building dashboards and visualizations of complicated metrics.
• Relentless curiosity and the independent drive to satisfy those questions.
• Clear and convincing verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of statistical modeling methods and machine learning methods is a plus.
• Passionate about live events and the concert experience.

The expected compensation for this position is:
$16.00 USD Hourly
** Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
