THE ROLE:
As a member of Global Procurement's Stakeholder Support team, the Sourcing Specialist – Indirect will lead – with appropriate supervision – a portfolio of sourcing projects designed to deliver operational and financial benefits across Live Nation's wide array of businesses.
The role may include support for a variety of commodities but is expected to develop proficiency in handling daily and project activities for a smaller subset of categories focused on corporate and divisional operations, which may include, but not be limited to, office services (e.g., shipping, document storage, shredding), travel, contingent labor, corporate card services, energy/utilities, and others.
In addition to leading their own portfolio of projects, the Sourcing Specialist – Indirect will play a supporting role for larger projects led by other members of the Global Procurement team, when applicable. The Sourcing Specialist – Indirect will have the opportunity to work directly with members of the Concerts, Venues & Festivals and Technology category teams, as well as with the Head of Global Procurement on special projects.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
• Oversee full-lifecycle procurement and supply chain sourcing projects of moderate size and complexity, including both competitive and sole/single sourced.
• As assigned by supervisor, assume responsibility for ongoing management of one or more procurement-related operational programs that fall under Stakeholder Support (e.g., account management for users of a vendor portal sourced by the Stakeholder Support team)
• Support Global Procurement-initiated, cross-functional projects as required.
• Assist in facilitating online supplier and catalog enablement with distribution partners.
• Prepare cohesive and understandable reports to aid in management decision-making.
• Extract data from disparate systems, research and analyze spend.
• Conduct Internet-based market and vendor research, as needed, leveraging existing data tools to benchmark our existing deals to find potential negotiation and/or consolidation opportunities.
• Assist in answering questions and providing direction to internal/external customers as required.
• Work with internal and external customers and suppliers to resolve order issues.
• Consult with all segments of the organization and make recommendations for improving the effectiveness of procurement-related guidelines and procedures.
• Act as liaison between various Business Units and Global Procurement as questions and issues arise with daily or project activities.
• Assist Category Managers with data gathering, analysis, and negotiation preparation.
• Develop, validate, and maintain various periodic departmental reports, as required.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
• Bachelor's Degree is preferred; CPM or CPSM a plus.
• Minimum two years strategic procurement or supply chain sourcing experience, with proven ability to lead full lifecycle supplier selection and negotiation efforts.
• Knowledge of purchasing methodologies and competitive bidding processes.
• Strong project management, negotiation, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to foster and lead cost-efficient initiatives while also balancing stakeholders' operational requirements and timelines.
• Solid communication and customer service skills, both written and verbal.
• Able to handle multiple competing priorities and effectively meet deadlines.
• Extreme attention to detail, particularly in review of written documents and, when applicable, creation of quantitative analyses.
• Process-oriented with ability to identify improvements and to implement changes to realize efficiencies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of data gathering and analysis skills.
• Proficiency in standard contract terminology and contract drafting; experience coordinating document execution with legal teams.
• Working knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word required; experience with Oracle Procurement Cloud, data visualization tools, database tools, and/or other procurement-focused software tools is a plus.
• Able to work with minimal guidance; yet not afraid to seek guidance when not understanding the task or direction.
